The Sagamore Resort:

Recognized as “Lake George’s Premier Luxury Resort,” The Sagamore has been hosting celebrities and dignitaries for more than 100 years. With a nearly endless list of spa treatments, luxury amenities, and unique recreational activities, it’s earned its place in the history books for good reason. Read on for our full review of The Sagamore Resort and learn why this Adirondack getaway is a must-visit for any wellness lover.

The Vibe

Located on its own private island on New York’s Lake George, The Sagamore Resort is a true escape from the ordinary. The getaway boasts panoramic views of the Adirondacks and offers front-row seats to some truly stunning sunsets.

If we had to review The Sagamore’s vibe in one word, it would be awe-inspiring. To start, there is the renowned Lake George Spa, which features 14 unique treatment rooms designed to reflect the surrounding natural beauty with neutral tones and organic elements. Spa treatments range from quick and calming facials to all-day packages. Try a restorative body scrub, soothing body wrap, reiki, stone massage, or a custom facial.  Expect to leave Lake George Spa feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated.

Stay active at The Sagamore’s fully equipped fitness center, which offers a variety of group fitness classes and private yoga sessions as well. More of an outdoors person? Take advantage of the jaw-dropping scenery with private hikes through Adirondack State Park, tennis and water sports in the summer, a world-renowned golf course, and cross country skiing and ice skating in the winter months. After a good workout, relax in the jacuzzi or an indoor and outdoor pool. Views of the lake always included!

The Rooms

With a wide range of accommodations, The Sagamore Resort has the perfect space for everyone. Choose from the historic main hotel, stone castle, carriage house, and individual condos. While the historic main hotel provides guests with the utmost elegance and luxury, the lodge is more rustic and ideal for families.

The Food

Sample the best of everything with more than eight award-winning restaurants on site. Restaurants range from La Bella Vita, an upscale eatery serving traditional Italian, to Splash Pool Bar, a casual poolside spot for cocktails and American fare.

The Extras

Feeling really luxe? Arrive in your own private helicopter. Yep, The Sagamore is equipped to accommodate privately chartered helicopters from Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. And if you’re looking for an itinerary that’s a bit off the beaten path, the resort offers unique options like winter ice fishing, croquet, and boat rides along the lake. There’s even a whole recreational center just for kids. Whatever your version of a relaxing weekend is, there truly is something for everyone at this luxury resort.
