Women Making History | Katherine Ryder of Maven

Katherine Ryder wanted to change the status quo for women’s and family health and she did just that when she founded Maven. The only virtual health program for women, Maven offers expert healthcare whenever needed, from anywhere in the world. Ryder wanted an alternative to traditional healthcare that often started and stopped with a brief 8-minute in-person appointment. Using modern technology, like video calls and instant messaging, Ryder and the Maven team keep patients in constant communication with medical professionals (meaning that burning question you didn’t remember until stepping into your doctor’s parking lot won’t have to wait weeks to be answered)

Patients can access all types of care via virtual appointments, including meetings with therapists, OB-GYNs, pediatricians, career coaches, and nutritionists. Expert advice is just a click away, day or night. Users are even assigned a designated personal concierge who is available 24/7 to answer any pressing questions before you go down a Web M.D. rabbit hole. Thanks to Ryder and her team, women’s healthcare is on a bright new path and we can’t wait to see where it leads.
